![]() Damage is measured in "percent" (even though that makes no mathematical sense, since characters can take much more than 100% without dying), and each attack deals a certain amount of percent (depending on the base damage of the attack, plus a few other modifiers). I won't bog you down with details, but each attack has different properties that scale differently as the opponent takes more damage. This is an equation for calculating the frame data of a video game called Super Smash Bros. Oh, I have so much more than one input cell! This is an equation with over thirty different variables, but I've managed to hardcode a bunch of them into some dropdown menus, so the user only has to select from 18. If you want to post your function, or better yet, a spreadsheet containing function with some example data, I'd be happy to see what, if anything, I can suggest to improve it. Expect to spend a couple of hours, but maybe a couple of days, depending on your background. This is much harder than using Tools → Customize. If you want a "button" in a cell, see Open Document Macro (File Name Taken from Button Name) for an example of calling a macro when the cell is clicked. Read about macros and customization in Help → Index or in User Guides (PDF) or searching for topics about them in the Forum. You don't need to know anything about programming or macro languages with this method. The easiest way to call a macro is to use Tools → Customize and create a keyboard shortcut or toolbar button to call it.
